TIE DIE

Technology, Innovation, and Education

Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity

“As an associate professor and a division director at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, I have attended my share of board meetings, discussions, roundtables. Yet none of them were like the TIE DIE Roundtable. I have not seen anything out there like it. From the interactions and conversations, it is clear that TIE DIE is something different and something special. I only wish it were at my son’s school; I would sign him up in a heartbeat.”

What We Do
About

ABOUT US

The brainchild of forward-thinking EdTech, innovation, and DEI enthusiast Samantha Fletcher, TIE DIE sits at the intersection of technology, innovation, and education -- TIE -- and diversity, inclusion, and equity -- DIE. Fletcher, with support from a team of passionate and willing peers at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, founded the initiative to bring the worlds of TIE and DIE together through events, panel discussions, and workshops, usually virtual, to have rich, engaging conversations. Participants in TIE DIE or any of our events are immersed in learning about elements of EdTech, innovation, design, STEM/STEAM, and media and the ways that aspects of identity play a role in these areas.
